HOTA Collects: Gerwyn Davies Artist TalkJoin us for this unique opportunity to hear Australian artist Gerwyn Davies talk about his practice and work. Using readymade and everyday materials, Gerwyn assembles characters through costume that simultaneously conceal, transform and abstract the body. These highly stylised and exaggerated transformations are regenerative as they form part of an ongoing inventory of photographic self-projections. AFLW Round 4: Gold Coast SUNS v Geelong
Lock in your Saturday plans! The Gold Coast SUNS are heating up People First Stadium for an unmissable clash against the Geelong Cats on Saturday 21 September. Gates open at 11:15AM, so rally up your family and friends in your best and brightest SUNS colours and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of a SUNS AFLW match day! Tickets are just $15 from Ticketek. Plus, all kids under 18 go free! Game On. Challenge Accepted. Parking is free in the Blue Car Park at People First Stadium. Normal Translink services will operate, including Surfside Bus services, Queensland Rail City network trains, and G:Link services. Event shuttle buses will not be in operation.

Paradise Point Fishing Lessons for all ages
Do your kids want to go fishing but you’re not sure what to do? Want to learn how to fish, but feel uncomfortable about it? Send them along and they will take care of all the tangles, while they learn alongside other kids or families in the same boat. 2 Bent Rods will ease everyone into fishing with this fun and educational activity. Classes are very hands-on, everyone will be shown how to use the equipment and receive help to correct their technique. Kids and families will learn to read the beach, catch bait with yabby pumps and a bait net, tie a fishing knot, cast a rod and hopefully land a fish. They will pick up plenty of tips to help make their next fishing adventure more successful. This class is for both kids and families. All bait and fishing equipment provided. Bookings are essential.
