ASICS Gold Coast Marathon
Celebrate the 46th edition of the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon and run in paradise on the beautiful Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. The world class international marathon will attract participants of all ages and abilities from around the world across nine races including the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, Wheelchair Marathon, China Airlines Half Marathon, Southern Cross University 10km Run, Wheelchair 10km, Gold Coast Airport 5km, Wheelchair 5km, 2km Junior Dash and the FIXX Nutrition Gold Coast Double 63.3km. The ASICS Gold Coast Marathon, a World Athletics Label Road Race, is the pinnacle of road running events in Australia and during its history has distinguished itself as one of the most prestigious marathons in the world. Its famous flat, fast and scenic course located alongside the city's renowned surf beaches and stunning Broadwater plus ideal winter running conditions featuring low humidity, little wind and mild temperatures result in over 60 per cent of participants achieving personal best times each year.

2026 UniSport Nationals Distance Running
In 2026, UniSport Australia will be partnering with the ASISC Gold Coast Marathon to deliver the 2026 UniSport Nationals Distance Running championships.Over 200 student-athletes from 43 member universities across Australia will gather on the Gold Coast to compete in the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, and 10km distance events to battle it out for overall champion university status.For more information, please get in touch with your university sports department on how to get involved.

Gold Coast Whale & Ocean Festival 2026
The Gold Coast's Whale & Ocean Festival is a celebration of the precious ocean that is at the heart of the Gold Coast. It will be held at Justins Park, Burleigh Heads. Organised by Humpbacks and Highrises (HHR), a local NGO, the festival aims to increase awareness in the local community for our oceans and the magnificent whales that visit the Gold Coast every year.Since 2011 Humpbacks and High Rises have been running Queensland's largest marine mammal monitoring program dedicated to the protection and research of marine mammals. BLEACH* 2026 BLEACH* Arts Festival is back for 2026 and for the first time, will take place in October, running from 1 – 11 October to embrace the Gold Coast’s vibrant spring energy. The much loved arts and culture festival also welcomes a new Artistic Director; Felix Preval who promises to deliver a fresh take to the long running festival. Felix Preval brings two decades of experience in the performing arts, including holding the role of Artistic Director of Darwin Festival from 2017 – 2020 and Festival Producer at Melbourne Fringe from 2012 – 2016. BLEACH* 2026 will feature a range of local, national and international artists, presenting performances, new installations and community engaged works that celebrate the city’s natural environment and transform the HOTA precinct for the duration of the festival.
