Botanical Bazaar 2025
The Botanical Bazaar is the Gold Coast's premier Gardening and Sustainability Festival. It is an interactive Gardening and Sustainable living event aimed to educate and inspire all nature enthusiasts. The event is a perfect blend of learning, shopping, and entertainment, all focused around gardening and sustainable living. Educating and inspiring nature enthusiasts of all ages. See around 90 green exhibitors and local artisans plus celebrity gardener’s talks, demonstrations, botanical art, community groups and kids nature activities. Hear from industry experts on three speaker stages, including beloved ABC Gardening Australia personalities such as Sophie Thomson and Costa Georgiadis. Check out the website for the 2024 line-up. Their insights are truly inspiring, packed with innovative ideas and practical tips. Learn how to grow your own food, urban and small space gardening, and sustainable living concepts. The on-site community gardens are a highlight, with guided tours by celebrity gardeners showcasing sustainable gardening practices. But don't just listen and learn; get hands-on with 30 engaging workshops. The atmosphere was alive with local, live music under The Musical Tree and The Patch, creating a magical backdrop to the festivities. The Kid’s Hub was buzzing with nature play activities and yoga sessions, and the new School Garden Competition is a hit! A relaxing weekend at the Parklands with live music with delicious food, kids hub, market stalls and more.

Australian Eagles and Money For Nothin Dire Straits Experience - Burleigh Heads
Hall of Fame Icons concert brings two legendary tributes in an unforgettable night of rock ‘n’ roll magic. Featuring the internationally celebrated Australian Eagles Show and the electrifying Money For Nothing: Dire Straits Experience, this event promises to be a musical extravaganza like no other. The Australian Eagles Show, renowned for their pitch-perfect renditions of Eagles classics, is fronted by the talented Michael Thompson and Shayne Browne. This five-piece band has wowed audiences across the globe with their meticulous recreation of the Eagles' timeless hits. From the melodic ‘Desperado’ to the high-octane ‘Life in the Fast Lane’ and the soulful ‘New Kid in Town’ every performance is a journey through the Eagles' storied catalog. Scenic Rim Ultra
Runners have the option of 10km, 25 km, 42 km, 65 km or 105 km distances. Starting at The Lilybrook Recreation Area, runners will traverse the Dugandan Range and cross four mountains centred by spectacular Wyaralong Dam. The loop course finishes back at the winery, the perfect party precinct to celebrate tackling this gruelling and scenic course. The course runs across long ridgelines, single track, dirt road and dense forest much of which has never been explored by trail runners. Both distances have challenging mountain climbs which provide panoramic views of Mt Tamborine and Brisbane City.

The Gold Coast Titans are set to take on the South Sydney Rabbitohs at Cbus Super Stadium for Round 23 of the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership. For the first time in seven years, the NRL has scheduled a Gold Coast home game in Indigenous Round, celebrating First Nations culture as part of the clash. Plus, the NRLW team will also be taking the field up against the Sydney Roosters. Expect this afternoon to be big!

Laboratory of Light
Laboratory of LightTHE PERFORMANCE Part theatre and part interactive research project, Laboratory of Light provides a theatrical lens through which teachers and students can engage with the Science syllabus. Welcome to the curious and wonder-filled world of Luminous, a backyard scientist who is fascinated by light. Where does light come from? How does it travel? What is it made of? Luminous spends all night conducting experiments in their garden shed - the Laboratory of Light, in the hope that one day this will lead to recognition and fame. Darkness is lonely and needs a friend but Luminous is afraid of the dark! One full moon, as an electromagnetic wave travels through the Milky Way, Luminous’ most ambitious invention traps the smallest unit of light, a photon! This unites an unlikely trio of friends, who embark on a night of discovery together and through live experiments and music, learn about the wonders of light along the way. THE EXPERIENCE The adventure begins with the arrival of education resources via Google Classroom, prior to attending the performance, and will spark students’ interest in the topic of light through creative in-class activities. On the day of the performance your class will spend time with Luminous in the Laboratory of Light.

Bon But Not Forgotten celebrates AC/DC - Coolangatta

Bon But Not Forgotten, the world-renowned AC/DC tribute band, is hitting the road for an epic Australian tour to mark five decades of legendary and electrifying rock ‘n’ roll. Wild Earth Coastal High Trail Run
The Wild Earth Coastal High is an epic trail running event located in the iconic and spectacularly picturesque Gold Coast Hinterland. Running on trails contained within the pristine Lamington and Springbrook National Parks, the Coastal High two events; of 50km or 28km, that cover the best trails that South-East Queensland has to offer. The Wild Earth Coastal High sees runners traverse spectacular trails through sub-tropical rainforest, open forest, and along cliff tops within Lamington National Park, before descending down into the Numinbah Valley and then climbing up to finish adjacent to the magnificent Purlingbrook Falls in Springbrook National Park. The Wild Earth Coastal High trail run is special. Two World Heritage listed National Parks; trail running in a location that has to be enjoyed to be believed.
