2026 Australian Open and World Taekwondo Presidents Cup
These events invite elite black belt athletes from World Taekwondo's 212 Member National Associations to compete for G2 and G3 world ranking points, ensuring a high-stakes environment with exceptional athletic talent.The competition lineup includes Kyorugi (Sparring), Para-Kyorugi, Poomsae (Patterns), and Para-Poomsae, showcasing Taekwondo's diversity in both technique and performance. With each discipline demanding precision, power, and control, the event provides an arena for Taekwondo athletes to gain valuable international ranking points and critical experience in competitive settings.Both events offer athletes in the Oceania region an invaluable chance to compete alongside the best in the sport and prepare for future international championships. In previous years, these events have attracted participants from around 45 countries, including numerous top-10 ranked athletes, making it one of the key dates on the international Taekwondo calendar.Each event reflects the collaboration between World Taekwondo, the Oceania Taekwondo Union, and Australian Taekwondo, all dedicated to advancing the sport's reach and competitive standards in Oceania and beyond.

Sprint Series Adventure Race QLD
Short, fast and fun, and suitable for anyone and everyone with a real sense of adventure, the Sprint Series Adventure race is designed to offer the perfect introduction to the exciting sport of adventure racing.Teams of two navigate their way between checkpoints by foot, bike and kayak using only a map and a compass. The fastest team to find all checkpoints is the winner.At each event, there is a Classic distance and a Novice distance course available, depending on your ability and experience. These non-stop events will take two to six hours to complete, so there is never any time to get bored or tired, as you will be constantly challenged throughout the race, physically and mentally!Suppose you are new to adventure racing and are looking for an exciting challenge that lives up to your love of the outdoors and action-packed adventure. In that case, the Sprint Series events are a great way to experience what adventure racing is all about.

Rumble on the Beach
Pacific Action Sports, owner of the Rumble Skateboarding Pro Tour and Amateur Series, is excited to announce the addition of a Gold Coast event to its National Tour, the Rumble on the Beach for 2026!The Rumble on the Beach will be held from July 9-19 across 2 locations in the City, the Elanora Bowl and Pizzey Park. The event will feature the best skateboarders in Australia, with the Rumble forming an important partnership with Skate Australia to use rankings points from Rumble events for national team, and ultimately, Olympic, selection! The Rumble on the Beach has also been designated the Skate Australia National Championships. That and there's 20K in cash and prizes on the line so expect the competitors to be going big!The BMD Rumble Pro Tour, supported by Skate Australia, sees the largest ever line up of Australia's best skate parks and locations, covering 7 different locations, across 4 states with a total of $75,000 up for grabs!

Sword Fight VIII
The premier Gold Coast HEMA tournament is back in action! Housed in the beautiful scenic rim of the Gold Coast Hinterland, we are taking historical fencing to the highlands. This two day event will showcase some of Australia's best fencers in Longsword, Sidesword, and Sabre. Also, many years ago we ran the first Australian women's HEMA competition, we are excited to return to this space with more details to follow.
