2024 AusCycling State BMX Racing Championships - Queensland
The Queensland BMX Championships are the largest State Championships of any state. Thousands of participants from around Australia come to the host club with hopes of becoming the State Champion.

Premier Invitational 2024
The Premier Invitational is Australia's biggest football (soccer tournament). Teams from all over Australia and New Zealand to come to the Gold Coast for a football festival. The unique way the tournament is delivered sees all teams compete in the same number of games. Games are placed in blocks so visiting teams can play competitive games and then set aside to explore the Gold Coast. Games are played over three days. The tournament was set up in 2012 and attracts over 337 teams. Teams have previously travelled from the USA, New Zealand and Asia to compete. The tournament is open to both boys and girls from U8 to U16's.

Gates open at 11:15AM, so rally up your family and friends in your best and brightest SUNS colours and enjoy the exciting atmosphere of a SUNS AFLW match day! Tickets are just $15 from Ticketek. Plus, all kids under 18 go free! Game On. Challenge Accepted. Parking is free in the Blue Car Park at People First Stadium. Normal Translink services will operate, including Surfside Bus services, Queensland Rail City network trains, and G:Link services. Event shuttle buses will not be in operation.

The NSC is an opportunity for the best athletes in each State to compete against each other for the National Title.

2024 Australian Pickleball Championships
The Australian Pickleball Championships is the largest gathering of pickleball players in the Southern Hemisphere. In 2023 over 700 competitors competed in Blacktown at the Australian Pickleball Championships. In 2024, we hope to eclipse 1000. The Australian Pickleball Championships brings together players of all ages and skills and offers inclusive opportunities for able-bodied and players with disabilities, physical or intellectual, to compete alongside and with some of the best homegrown and international talent. The event has a real festival vibe and is the culmination of State Championship events offered in the year leading up to. The event offers maximum participation with players competing in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team formats.

Gold Coast Titans All Schools Touch
Gold Coast Titans All Schools (GCTAS) is an annual touch football event run by Queensland Touch Football. The 2024 event will be held at the world class Gold Coast Performance Centre at Runaway Bay, Queensland, thanks to the support of Experience Gold Coas. Held in October, it is the world’s largest touch football tournament & one of Australia largest events for secondary schools, with over 500 teams representing various schools both nationally and internationally. It is a seeded round robin-based competition where teams are placed in Pools of 6-8 teams depending on the size of the division, which provides school teams with a minimum of 7 games.

The Yacht Sales Co. Sail Paradise 2024
The Southport Yacht Club's spectacular high summer offshore sailing regatta, The Yacht Sales Co. Sail Paradise, will be set between Main Beach and the Queensland and New South Wales border. A three-day event with magnificent racing will be staged on the beautiful ocean waters off the Gold Coast’s golden beaches, allowing spectators on the shore to be enthralled by the closeness of the racing and the blaze of colour that will come from the yachts’ many and varied spinnakers. The festivities continue onshore daily Race Results and Live Entertainment at Southport Yacht Club’s Main Beach Clubhouse, where competitors and guests can also enjoy the nightly food and beverage specials in the stunning Waterfront Restaurant and Bars. This is proudly supported by Major Events Gold Coast.

The 2024 Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold
Celebrating 40 years of the iconic Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold. One of the most challenging endurance races in surf sports and what began as the central theme for a motion picture now commands a place on Australia’s annual calendar of prestigious sporting events. The mighty Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold will be held on Queensland’s Gold Coast. The Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold consist of four events over the weekend at Coolangatta. The Shaw and Partners Financial Services Coolangatta Gold consists of a 21 kilometre Short Course run and a 41.8 kilometre Long Course race run. The multi-disciplinary course combines swimming, running, board paddling and surf skiing. Once again in 2024, the event will see the inclusion of the Youth Challenge and will host a Downwind Paddle as part of the the Shaw and Partners Australian Ocean Racing Series for 2024.
