🌊 Family Surf Lesson – DVA Health WeekFriday, 23rd January 2026Join us for a fun and active morning at Currumbin Alley with a 90-minute family surf lesson designed for all skill levels. Come enjoy the ocean, connect with the veteran community, and learn from experienced instructors in a safe and supportive environment.What’s Included90-minute guided surf lessonUse of a softboardWetshirt and wetsuit (if required)Access to nearby changing facilities and toiletsParticipants will only need to bring:Sunscreen, towel and water.Important – Action RequiredAll participants must complete and sign the waiver prior to attending the lesson.Participants aged 17 and under require a parent/guardian signature.For safety, this event is for children aged 8 years plus.Parents must be present if children are in attendance.Where to Meet📍 Currumbin Alley CarparkMeet at least 15 minutes prior to the lesson start time. Inclusive Golf Clinic Empower Golf is hosting a Come and Try Golf Clinic at Topgolf Gold Coast, to introduce people living with a disability to Golf. Our Come and Try Golf clinics are the ideal way to introduce new people to golf for the first time, or to reintroduce former players to the game they love, after accident or illness. Players of all abilities will have the opportunity to try golf, the amazing ParaGolfer and other adaptive equipment under the guidance or PGA Professional Grant Garrison and Empower Golfs Coach Ben Tullipan. Debuting a four-surfer format — Open Men's, Open Women's, Junior (U20) & Master (40+) — the event showcases a balance of youth, experience, and elite talent. A kaleidoscope of community, culture and the arts along the full length of the coastline from Kirra, right through to the contest site at Snapper Rocks. The event will always remain committed to providing a platform which allows the sport's emerging stars & past stars to showcase their talents and take their skills to the next level Confirmed clubs represent Australia, New Zealand, USA, Hawaii, UK, France, Japan, Indonesia, Tahiti and Portugal. Alongside will be sixteen Australian clubs who will bring home-grown firepower to the Gold Coast.
