These events occur on the last Sunday of every month in Harrisville, a small suburb in the beautiful Scenic Rim - and less than an hour from Brisbane! Sunday Farm Days give kids the chance to have some fun with the animals on a working farm. There is an animal nursery full of baby lambs and goats to feed and play with - and our favourite alpaca George! There is also have a designated chick & duckling holding area and some silkie chickens who love a cuddle! Then there is face painting and pony rides for some extra fun! In case you get hungry, coffee and a sausage sizzle is available, and an ice cream van - perfect for the warm weather. All regular poultry and produce is available as well. Seniors Shake Out
The Shake Out is a seniors dance party that is fun, footloose and freewheeling, hosted by creative joy generators us along with our friends from the inclusive dance company, Bring A Plate. Suitable for all abilities, this event is a chance to, literally and metaphorically, let your hair down and experience the joy of movement for wellness, mobility, connection and a mighty fine time. The best bit – It’s free! – pre-registration is favourable, however walk ups on the day are more than welcome Join them for 45mins of movement and followed by a light morning tea provided complimentary. Seniors are welcome to bring their kids, grandkids, friends, neighbours. No dance partners or dancing experience required. Accessibility: Access to the venue via large double doors all on ground level. If there is anything we can do to make your time with them more comfortable please reach out to them. Parking: Upper Coomera Community Centre has free parking and accessible parking available onsite, with a drop off area when first driving in. These six artists: Jay Jermyn, Kathy Mackey, Larissa Warren, Lyle Duncan, Norton Fredericks and Rebecca Ross, have contemporary art practices that are both local and global in ideas and execution, showcasing the richness and diversity of artists living and working across the region. For each Cocktails with Curators session you will join an intimate group on an exclusive tour of the exhibition, led by a HOTA Curator. At the conclusion of the tour you’ll continue your conversation with an exhibition-inspired cocktail at the Exhibitionist Bar. Each session will focus on one of the featured artists, please note that the artist won’t be present.
