The fun doesn't end when the sun goes down.. What’s not to love about a night market? Not only can you tuck in to the cuisine of your choice and feast on a huge variety of food, but you get to enjoy some live entertainment, a spot of retail therapy and buzzing Gold Coast culture. Here are four local favourites to explore after dark.
Dreamworld Night Market
Dreamworld is extending the fun until after the sun goes down on Friday and Saturday nights with the amazing Dreamworld Night Market. Bring your family, bring your friends, drop in for a drink and some live tunes or feast on a huge variety of food. A lineup of local food trucks dish up delicious plates of mouthwatering meals from Greek cuisine and burgers to Vietnamese, Indian and more. Don’t forget dessert because the selection of sweet treats is truly mouth-watering. Add live music and free entertainment, plus a spot where kids can pull up a comfy bean bag to watch a movie on the big screen. Perfection! Entry is $2 but free for kids under 13 and annual pass holders.

Sanctuary Markets
Friday evening is feeding time at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary… well right next to it, at least. At the end of each week, the food trucks roll in and start dishing up fabulous food for the Sanctuary Markets and the collective menu incorporates a wide variety of international cuisine including Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese, Brazilian, Turkish, Venezuelan, South African and Chilean. The tricky bit is deciding what to pick! But there’s more than food at these markets. You can browse local arts and craft stalls and pick up some fresh provisions for the weekend from the produce market in the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary car park across the road. The bar serves up local drops from Burleigh Brewing and Sirromet Wines. It’s the perfect way to kick off the weekend Gold Coast style.

Miami Marketta
This Gold Coast institution is a happening hub of good times, global street food, live music, cool boutique bars and local design. Miami Marketta is open three nights a week, it’s a beloved hang out spot for locals and on the must-do list for visitors - there’s something special about the open air laneway precinct adorned with street art. It’s laid-back, but buzzing, there’s always live local music, and you’re sure to find some incredible eats, best served with a tipple of your choice. Shop local labels at the cool retail spaces, enjoy the tunes or take a seat at communal long tables and soak up the vibes.

Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets
A beachside stroll is always a good idea, but even better when there are markets to browse at the same time. Three evenings a week, treasure hunters, bargain spotters and after-dinner walkers wander along the coastal stretch where the Surfers Paradise Beachfront Markets are set up. With over 100 stalls showcasing the best growers, makers, characters and creators locally and from afar you can find souvenirs, gifts, jewellery, handmade wares, fresh produce, gourmet provisions and so much more.
