16 Sep 2024

Halloween is creeping up (pun intended) already and what better way to celebrate this spooky fun-filled occasion than at Gold Coast theme park? Here are some of the best Gold Coast Halloween events for amping up the scare factor during the day or after dark…

Fright Nights at Warner Bros. Movie World

Enter if you dare! Warner Bros Movie World celebrates the spooky season with a truly terrifying Halloween experience. The entire park transforms into a horror show for Fright Nights every Friday and Saturday night in October from 6 - 10.30pm.

Face your fears in horror mazes, panic rooms (like an escape room but scarier) and ride rollercoasters in the dark. A nightmare cast of freaks, fiends, zombies and killer clowns roam the park’s precincts, on the hunt for innocent civilians to scare. If you’re unlucky, you might bump into Crooked Man or Penny Wise.

The event is seriously scary and is not recommended for children under the age of 14 years. Be sure to check the makeup and costume guidelines. General admission is $89 online - get you tickets fast because Fright Night regularly sells out.

Date: Fright and Saturday nights October 5 - 31.
Location: Pacific Mwy, Oxenford

Happy Halloween at Dreamworld

Happy Halloween at Dreamworld is the perfect event for little kids with plenty of fam-tastic entertainment, spooky themed fun, immersive experiences and trick or treating.

Get dressed up in your scariest costume and join the fun for spooky photo opportunities, rides at night, a haunted maze, free trick or treating throughout the park and Halloween inspired treat from food outlets. Check out Count Kenny's Mystery Mansion or enter the costume contest and visit the nocturnal house to see the creatures of the night come to life.

Dreamworld annual passholders receive free entry to one Happy Halloween event, with tickets starting from $39.

Dates: Friday and Saturday nights October 11 - 26.

Location: Dreamworld Pkwy, Coomera

Spooky Nights at Sea World

There will be witches, zombies, pirates and all sorts of creepy characters roaming the park and entertaining the kids with shows and meet and greets that are more friendly than frightening. This spellbinding experience is selling fast so get your tickets quick.

Location: Seaworld Dr, Main Beach

Fangtuary at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

There’s plenty of after dark fun on offer at the annual Halloween event if you dare to enter the lair.
