Cooly Classic Ocean Swim Festival
Swimmers have a rare opportunity to swim a course with some of Australia’s most revered surf breaks as your backdrop – Snapper Rocks, Coolangatta and Kirra. There are four distances, from 1km to 5km, but it’s always the 2.0km Cooly Classic from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach which attracts the masses. Your Start line, Snapper Rocks, is one of the world’s most famous surf breaks. Then, your course is a straight line to Kirra Beach, passing Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Coolangatta Beaches as you swim. Throughout the week, there’ll be a range of small group sessions and clinics with guest coaches. This is a chance to receive specialist coaching and also swim with local squads at some of the Gold Coast’s favourite open-water training locations.

Kalbar Sunflower Festival
An opportunity for tourists to visit a sunflower farm based at Kalbar in the picturesque Scenic Rim Region, walk among a million sunflowers and totally immerse themselves in the beauty and happiness they provide. Excellent photography opportunities, a great event for the whole family. As well as the excitement of being up close and personal with acres of sunflowers there is free live entertainment by local musicians, free children's activities such as bubble blowing, art activations, animal petting, sensory garden and mini children's maze. Sunflower merchandise as well as food and beverages on sale. For the adults add on's such as sunflower art classes, mini family photography shoots, flower crowns and our four acre sunflower maze. Enjoy a long table lunch prepared by Chef Richard Ousby in the sunflowers and perhaps a sunflower cocktail by Brasshound Distillery. Their very popular Devonshire tea supports The Mater Foundation so enjoy a sunflower scone and cup of tea or coffee knowing you are helping raise funds for cancer care. The sunflower festival is full of happiness and joy bringing together the local community and visitors from around Queensland and beyond. You can bring your own secateurs or borrow theirs and you can pick your own sunflowers to take home for AUD2.00 a stem.

Blues on Broadbeach
Set to transform the Gold Coast into a rhythm and blues mecca for four days, Blues on Broadbeach will be back in 2025! Featuring an electrifying non-ticketed lineup each year, Blues on Broadbeach 2024 welcomed over 65 international and homegrown artists for four jam-packed days of live entertainment. From Grammy award-winner Melissa Etheridge to Samantha Fish & Jesse Dayton, Ana Popovic, Eric Bibb and Lloyd Spiegel, the 2024 festival was also joined by legendary piano player Jon Cleary & The Absolute Monster Gentlemen, Dallas Frasca, Chase The Sun, Memphis’ legendary Hi Rhythm Section with Boo Mitchell, and many more! Plus, for the first time ever, Blues on Broadbeach 2024 was proud to present the Kurrawa Park Sunday Ticket, which saw New Zealand electronic-reggae-soul pioneers Fat Freddy’s Drop perform their only Australian show of the year, alongside Tijuana Cartel, and BOOMCHILD for an exclusive ticketed lineup. 12 Gold Bars - A Celebration of Status Quo - Mudgeeraba
This incredible group of musicians is dedicated to recreating the sound and energy of one of the most beloved bands of the 70s and 80s, and they're taking on Status Quo's legendary album 12 Gold Bars. Featuring some of the most talented musicians and vocalists in the country including ex-Angels and Choirboys member James Morley, Pete Robinson from Russell Morris Band, along with Eddy Santacreu, and David Kirby from Queen Orchestrated, this group brings a level of professionalism and dedication to their craft that sets them apart from other cover bands. They've spent countless hours studying the intricate instrumental arrangements and harmonies that made Status Quo such a hit, and they're ready to deliver an unforgettable performance for fans old and new. At their upcoming show, you can expect to hear every track from 12 Gold Bars, including hits like "Rockin' All Over The World" "Whatever You Want” ”Down Down” and "Caroline." The fisiocrem GC30 Main Beach returns Sunday 18 May, 2025 with an event filled with nature, ocean views and good vibes! With a course that combines closed roads and some of the best running trails the Gold Coast has to offer, this multi-distance event has a challenge for everyone, including 30km, 15km, 7.5km and Kids Dash events! The 30km event provides the ideal stepping stone distance between Half-Marathon and Marathon. The course, starts and finishes from Doug Jennings Park on Seaworld Drive and rewards runners with some of the best run views around.

Kim Churchill - The Lovely Tour 2025
Celebrating the announcement of his forthcoming album 'It’s Lovely To Have You Here', due for release Friday 11 October, Kim Churchill is embarking on his biggest Australian tour to date! Hitting the road in December, Kim will be playing over 50 shows across capital cities and all his small town faves. From Melbourne to Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival, to the far corners of Tasmania and north Queensland. In true nomadic style, he has locked in jam packed 6 months and will be playing in National Parks, botanic gardens, natural amphitheatres and of course, some of Australia's most renowned venues as well. A staple in the Australian and International folk scene, Kim Churchill continues to strike a chord across the globe with his laidback acoustic sound. Raised on the coastal town of Merimbula, Kim’s decade long industry experience spreads far and wide, with the songwriter previously crowned Australia’s National Youth Folk Artist of the Year and nominated for the National Live Music Awards Roots Act of the Year. Cooly Rocks On
Come celebrate the motors, music and lifestyle of yesteryear! Cooly Rocks On will be back at Coolangatta on the Gold Coast! Featuring one of Australia’s best Show ‘N’ Shine displays, the festival showcases an impressive collection of hot rods, kustom vehicles, lowbrow art and more, with more than 900 vehicles lining the streets of Coolangatta. As for the music, some of the best rock ‘n’ roll, swing, rockabilly and tribute artists from around the world will take to the stage throughout the festival. Cooly Rocks On is also one of two festivals held in Australia to host an official preliminary round of the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest, with the winner heading straight to Elvis Week in Memphis, USA. An exciting yet hilly 15km and 25km trail running event held in the beautiful Numinbah Valley on Queensland’s Gold Coast.
