Overview

The Australian Surf Life Saving Championships, colloquially known as The Aussies, is the pinnacle Surf Life Saving event and largest event of its kind. The Aussies not only represents high-performance sport and major event status but also plays a crucial role in developing the practical skills of surf lifesavers. The physical and mental demands of competition build fitter, faster, and stronger lifesavers who patrol our beaches nationwide. Every competitor at The Aussies 2026 is a qualified and proficient surf lifesaver. Surf Life Saving Australia is proud to host the iconic Australian Titles, supporting all participants as they train and refine their rescue-ready capabilities — for both sport and real-life rescue situations.
