Nazeem Hussain - You Paid For ThisThis is the official bio for my brand-new show You Paid for This. Not to be confused with any of the fakes ones out there. I had to write this bio myself, which really threw my morning plans. I thought coming up with the title was the hard part, but writing a 150 word biography about a comedy show I haven’t performed yet is really hard. It’s called You Paid for This, and yes, I’m aware you likely haven’t actually paid yet. It’s what we call in the biz “presumptive selling”. A bold, but risky move. The show does what the title suggests, presuming you buy a ticket. I can’t promise much beyond an hour of jokes, sponsored by you. You haven’t paid yet, but we both know it’s only a matter of time. Here, they’ll encounter fantastic large-scale projections, intriguing tiny delights, and lively, infectious music. Every child’s curiosity is celebrated and rewarded with delightful surprises. The adventure unfolds as boxes reveal more boxes, giving each child a chance to discover a magical version of themselves. In Wonderbox, tiny moments of whole worlds in a matchbox lead to vast universes where everyone, reflected in the stars of the Milky Way, is shown to be wonderful. After more than 13 years of engaging and captivating thousands of young audiences with disability nationally and internationally through their magical, multi-sensory immersive shows, Perth-based Sensorium Theatre continues to break down barriers to truly inclusive arts experiences with their most ambitious show yet. Wonderbox is designed to be accessible to all children, inviting every child (and the child within us all) to look inside and find their rightful place.

Gold Coast Schools Comp - Graduation Cup | Nerang QLD
Gold Coast Schools, Rocky Trail Academy is coming back to Nerang and its Graduation Cup time!! Hosted by Rocky Trail Entertainment, this event is designed for high school-age riders to challenge themselves across three epic timed stages on some of the best trails in the region. Whether they’re looking to challenge themselves or just have fun with friends, the Rocky Trail Academy event is all about fostering growth and camaraderie. The event format includes three stages, designed to test a variety of skills, including endurance, speed, and technical ability. Everyone gets five possible runs on each track, with the fastest time per stage counting toward your final result. With no set track order and untimed liaisons, you can enjoy the beautiful outdoors at your own pace. Riders will also earn points for their school, with bonus points awarded for top finishers on each track. Race categories are based on school year groups - students race against their peers and experience the thrill of friendly competition. Each track is designed to be rideable by anyone from beginners to experienced, ensuring there’s something for every skill level. The experienced team will be there to ensure everything runs smoothly, from registration to course marshalling and first aid services! The annual SWELL Sculpture Festival is celebrating its 22nd year as a free and all-inclusive 10-day outdoor sculpture exhibition by the people for the people. Comedy Underground | Luke HeggieLuke Heggie has been dabbling with new trends, such as monetising a contrived identity, and debating actual facts on the internet. But he also has to be able to sleep at night. If you consider “you love yourself” to be more of a compliment than a preamble to a fight, you use a passport as identification in your own country, you make your kids come and watch you play sport, you develop a lisp when you say a Spanish word, you've ever said that you have a great sense of humour, or you fill up with premium unleaded, then do not come to this show. The majority used to be a bit more silent, making them bearable. Internet users have described Luke Heggie as a flog, brilliant, a lefty wanker, a fascist, a comedian at the peak of his power, disgraceful, and the best in the land. Come and make your own mind up. Or not. Nobody really cares what you do. No lowbreeds please.

New dates - due to severe track impact by Tropical Cyclone Alfred, this race has been postponed to 13 & 14 September 2025 Get ready to experience Gravity Enduro mountain bike racing at the Fox Superflow® at Nerang Mountain Bike Park! Hosted by Rocky Trail Entertainment, this event offers three epic timed stages on some of the best tracks. The park is known for its many flow trails and challenging and techy sections, ensuring a thrilling experience for all levels of riders. The format includes three stages with each one averaging 2-3 minutes. With no set track order and untimed liaisons, you're free to enjoy the day at your own pace. You get up to five runs on each of the three tracks, with your fastest run on each stage combined for your final result. The event is open to all ages, with categories based on age groups, so you can race against your peers. Whether you're a young rider or a seasoned veteran "race the way you ride" and make new friends along the way! Music icons in the truest sense of the word, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic are charting their return to Australia for a series of unmissable tour dates this September! The funk innovator and maestro will be touring the East Coast with P-Funk this Spring, bringing fans his inimitable style and curation of sound that has made him a globally renowned superstar. Clinton’s catalogue as a collaborator, and as an artist whose voice/work has been sampled by peers, is as extensive as his own body of original work. His distinct sound can be heard on a variety of records by artists including Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, Flying Lotus, Wu-Tang Clan, Snoop Dogg and Drake – further proving his legacy status and enduring presence as one of modern music’s most impactful artists.
