40 years in the making, Boom Crash Opera hit the road for Hands Up In The Air – The Singles Tour 2025 They say life begins at 40 – and that may just be true for Boom Crash Opera. To celebrate their 40th anniversary, the beloved Australian band is embarking on a massive national tour: Hands Up In The Air – The Singles Tour 2025. The tour will hit every state, kicking off in Queensland on October 3, and running until mid-December. As the name suggests, this will be Great Wall-to-wall hits, starting with the band’s debut single, the Top 10 smash Great Wall, and running through a cavalcade of classics, including Dancing In The Storm, The Best Thing, City Flat, Get Out Of The House, Onion Skin, Bettadaze and Hands Up In The Air. The show will also feature BCO’s new single, Latest Hustle, a stomping glam rock treat, which Pete Farnan says is like Onion Skin “but with a contemporary twist”. Boom Crash Opera formed in Melbourne in 1985. As Pete Farnan notes, “We sounded like our name.” It’s an intoxicating mix of indie pop and stadium rock, fusing quirky song structures with exuberant choruses. The result has been 13 Top 50 singles and five Top 50 albums. Boom Crash Opera’s songs are ingrained in Australian culture – go to any sporting event and chances are you’ll hear The Best Thing or Dancing In The Storm. Four decades after the band began, the start of Onion Skin remains an irresistible rallying cry: Keep it in! Cut it out! Kick it out! Special guest Nick Barker.

Xuefei Yang, Guitar Virtuoso - Gold Coast
Emerging from the twilight of China's Cultural Revolution, a period where Western musical instruments and music were banned, Xuefei Yang was the first guitarist ever admitted to a Chinese conservatoire. At ten, her debut recital won her a concert guitar from the Spanish Ambassador; at fourteen, Joaquín Rodrigo attended her Madrid concert, and John Williams gifted two of his own instruments to Beijing's Central Conservatoire for her studies. She has since captivated audiences in over fifty countries— including appearances at Carnegie Hall and the BBC Proms —and has collaborated with Ian Bostridge, Roberto Alagna, Sir James Galway, and major orchestras worldwide. Classic FM named her one of the 100 Top Classical Musicians of Our Time, and BBC Music Magazine ranks her among the Top Six Guitarists of the Century. From pioneering cross-cultural commissions to reimagining ancestral melodies, Xuefei Yang continues to expand the guitar's horizons with every note. Don't miss your chance to witness her in live in concert—an event that will linger in memory long after the final note.

Lawrence Mooney - Dead Set Country - Surfers Paradise
Mooney's gone country. Deep country. Dead Set Country. He likes the word country because it's got a rude word in it if you EMPHasise it properly. Dead Set Country is Lawrence's brand new hit show that's all about a city boy gone bush. Roughed up by locals, mourning dead wombats, talking with horses and having an abiding affair with a tractor - in short Mooney is Dead Set Country. Following on from the acclaim for his past three shows Beauty, Embracing Your Limitations and Pigeonhole he's back with Dead Set Country. This time he's covered in dust, speaking slower and line dancing. It's Clarkson's Farm meets Lawrence Mooney's head on collision with country Australia. "You're not from round here are ya mister?"
