Radical Reels 2024 Gold Coast

The festival is the Banff Mountain Film Festival’s more outrageous, adventurous little sibling and is characterised by ‘Oh my God’ moments as elite athletes and adventurers conquer their challenges and dreams. This year’s tour promises to get your pulse racing, from the comfort and safety of your cinema seat. Watch death defying feats of pure genius, verging on insanity, shot in some of the planet's most spectacular settings. Featuring a collection of short films from around the globe including the winner of the Best Snow Sport film at the recent Banff Centre Mountain Film Festival in Canada. Groundwater Country Music Festival
With more than a decade under its belt, the award-winning Groundwater Country Music Festival returns this October bringing some of Australian country music’s most iconic artists to the Gold Coast. Announced on the festival’s first lineup is none other than the Queen of Country, legendary songstress Kasey Chambers. The multi-award-winning Aussie artist leads a star-studded 2024 line up alongside acclaimed acts including Canadian singer-songwriter Tim Hicks, country music legend Jim Lauderdale (USA) and Grammy-nominated artist Gord Bamford (CAN). They are joined by some of Australia’s favourite names in country including the multiple Golden Guitar winning Felicity Urquhart & John Cunningham, Taylor Moss, Josh Setterfield and rising stars Max Jackson and Sweet Talk, as well as local Gold Coast performer Emily Grace Taylor just to name just a few. Toni Childs - A Retrospective

Dallas Frasca 'Force of Nature' Album Tour
A fierce and authentic collection of songs from the dazzling mind of Melbourne roots rock icon Dallas Frasca, the upcoming new solo album Force of Nature (out July 19) is set to truly be a genuine sonic force to be reckoned with, journeying between towering highs and glossy reprieves with unbridled power and passion. And if the confirmation of a solo Dallas Frasca album today isn’t enough, a horde of live shows to come, starting this August. Renowned for her electrifying onstage presence and guitar-slinging prowess, the new era for Dallas Frasca as a solo artist has only heightened her sonic might, now also arming her with both electric and acoustic guitars, a live loop pedal and staggering vulnerability and authenticity that flows throughout her brand of roots/rock. Springbrook Festival of Small Halls Spring Tour 2024
Festival of Small Halls has announced that Kellie Loder and Van Dijk & Mcdonald will feature on their upcoming Spring Tour 2024: Outback Queensland. Presented by veteran festival producers Woodfordia Inc, the much-loved not-for-profit music tour is embarking on its 41st tour. With a packed schedule of twenty shows across four Spring weeks, this tour embarks on a route they’ve been travelling for 11 years, into new and returning communities alike. Heading all the way up to the red dirt and dinosaur trails of Muttaburra, the tour works its way through the South Burnett and Banana regions, all the way to the border towns of Texas and Ballandean in the Goondiwindi and Southern Downs regions. Festival of Small Halls Spring Tour 2024 starts on the 25th September at the Booubyjan Hall before continuing on to another 19 communities across outback Queensland. The tour concludes in Mapleton on 20th October 2024. Tickets on sale from 13th August via the website.

Frente - Live at Mo's Desert Clubhouse
Frente are absolutely delighted to be setting out again to the sunrise side of life for an east coast feast of shows. Expect favourite tunes, a test run of a new song or two and a ridiculous obscurity thrown in for good measure. From the beer soaked carpet of the Punters Club in Fitzroy to massive stages the world over, Frente have won hearts and taken no prisoners with singles such as ‘Ordinary Angels’ ‘Labour of Love’ and their acoustic take on New Order’s ‘Bizarre Love Triangle’. While the world was celebrating all things grunge, Frente’s blend of alternative and folk pop set them apart to listeners the world over. The honesty of the performances and recordings, plus the thoughtful quirky riffs and structures of the songs drew logical comparisons of Simon’s guitar work to some of Jonny Marr’s work for the Smiths and Dave Gavurin for the Sundays. Vocally Angie’s presence was, at the time, truly unique; an Australian female singer singing in her native accent, rather than adopting the American vernacular of the day. This is an 18+ event
