Join us for a special screening at John Laws Park in collaboration with the 2025 Single Fin Festival, where we’re bringing our usual free outdoor cinema experience with a surf-inspired twist. Whether you're attending the festival and staying for the movie, or simply coming for the screening, everyone is welcome to this exciting Movies Under the Stars event.

The City of Gold Coast Movies under the Stars program is free, family-friendly fun on offer from September 2024 through to April 2025 right across the city.
Head down to John Laws Park and soak in the atmosphere and admire the surfing talent on display at the 2025 Single Fin Festival, then stick around for a surf-themed film under the stars. At John Laws Park, we’ll be screening a family-friendly, inspiring film about Matt Formston, the remarkable blind surfer who defied all odds to become a world champion. Witness Matt's incredible journey as he overcomes challenges, inspiring audiences of all ages to chase their dreams and never give up. Don't miss this heart-warming story of perseverance and triumph!
Gather your family and friends, pack a picnic, or take advantage of delicious food options available in the local area.
