Find Your Perspective
There's a rumour that we're not a very "artsy" place. Good thing it's just a rumour. Galleries, theatre groups, nostalgia museums, sculpture festivals and indigenous performances just brush the surface of a cultural canvas that goes far deeper. As they say - art is purely a matter of perspective after all. Looking for more inspiration? Check out the cultural highlights of the Gold Coast hinterland.

Rocketman In Concert - On Reflection Tour - Southport
No one quite embodies the charm, the versatility, the dynamic charisma, and be able to recreate the flamboyant stage show of Sir Elton John, quite like Greg Andrew. With blindingly accurate and faithful recreations of Elton’s greatest hits, combined with his effortless melodic skills and reputation as a virtuosic pianist, Greg’s uncanny likeness to the Rocketman himself has made him one of the most recognised Elton John performers in the world. In 2017, Greg was hand-picked with a personal invitation as the only global Elton John tribute to perform on the world’s biggest tribute music festival stage in the UK, TRIBFEST. This set the wheels in motion for what has become a very rich and enduring touring history with over twelve years on the world stage, performing to well over half a million enthusiastic patrons in over thirty countries, who have aptly described Andrews’ performance as “fantastic” “brilliant” “the real deal” and “a real showman”. Greg Andrew and his band pay homage to Elton John in his two-hour concert production, which takes its name from one of the British singer-songwriter's most-loved tracks – "Rocketman". Rocketman in Concert - On Reflection Tour celebrates the Greatest Hits from the Elton John and Bernie Taupin collection! Greg’s Elton John Experience will have you second guessing yourself that you’ve not seen the real Elton.

1969 - A Year in Music
Woodstock - The Moon Landing - Abbey Road - and more…Played live by The Honey SlidersThe Honey Sliders are bringing the sights and sounds of 1969 back to life - live on stage, in front of a vivid screen projection. The Honey Sliders are playing the soundtrack to the events that marked the end of the most tumultuous decade of the twentieth century. Famously, 1969 gave us the ‘peace and love’ of Woodstock, only a month after the world stopped to watch Neil Armstrong take his giant leap onto the moon’s surface. It was the year The Beatles released their last album Abbey Road. Movies like Easy Rider and Midnight Cowboy broke new territory, ushering in a new generation of rogue film makers. 1969 also witnessed the end of flower power as The Rolling Stones and The Hell’s Angels raised the devil at their free concert in Altamont - all this happened while the Vietnam and Cold Wars raged. The Honey Sliders will play the soundtrack to these events and more, in front of a movie projection that pulls you through space and time - right back to ‘69. You’ll hear artists like The Beatles, The Stones, Canned Heat, David Bowie, The Band, Jimi Hendrix, Jefferson Airplane, The Doors, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Who, Sly and the Family Stone, Led Zeppelin, Tony Joe White and more…The Honey Sliders are a band made up of some of the most respected musicians in Australia, including the multiple award-winning Danny Widdicombe (The Wilson Pickers, Bernard Fanning, Tim Rogers, Shane Nicholson), Dan Mansfield (You Am I, Gin Club), Bos Borley (Bernard Fanning, The Resin Dogs), and Ben Carstens (Mexico City). The Honey Sliders meticulously recreate these songs that have touched the hearts of so many people around the world.
