Crafty’s Sports Bar
If you’re at the northern end of the Gold Coast, looking for somewhere to grab a tasty meal with a great atmosphere, then set your Google Maps for Crafty’s Sports Bar. The sprawling sports bar is located at Harbour Town in Biggera Waters, and always guarantees a good time. This intimate, laidback Nobby Beach joint is an ode to craft beer and perfectly matched meals. If Mexican food is your love language, then Bonita Bonita is for you. Moodily lit with candles adorning every surface and pictures of Lady Gaudalupe on the walls, you’ll feel like you’ve been transported to Mexico City the moment you step inside. Good vibes are guaranteed at Apres Surf. Maman, which is French for mum, is a sweet spot tucked away on vibing James Street. The intimate venue will whisk you off to the Med, with an all white decor, azure blue murals and hand-painted ceramics. The menu is designed to share, with a heavy influence of middle eastern and mediterranean flavours. Feast on lamb tagine, moussaka, yellowfin tuna carpaccio, and grilled octopus. It’s like traveling the world with your tastebuds.

Hidden away in the quiet back streets of Palm Beach you’ll find Burgster, a neighbourhood joint that takes their burger game very seriously. Slip into a booth or take a seat out the front and peruse the extensive burger menu. The toughest decision you’ll have here is whether you order The Classic Beef, The Colonel (fried chicken, slaw and crispy chicken skins) or the House Brisket with BBQ sauce, pickles and chilli jam. The bar snacks are equally as tasty. Think: jalapeno poppers with honey mayo and deep fried brie bites with truffle. You can wash it all down with crisp beer or cocktail. Pro tip: the Bloody Mary here is next level.
