For foodies, there's one major advantage to the Gold Coast's seaside location - fresh and succulent seafood straight from the ocean! Here are some locally loved providers of prawns, bugs, crabs and delicious fish, as fresh as you can get.
Gold Coast Fisherman's Co-op
For the freshest seafood look no further than the Gold Coast Fisherman’s Co-op at Main Beach. They take prawns, fish and crabs from local fishing boats that arrive in early hours of the day from their night trawls and unload their bounty right there for you to buy straight off the boat. This means you could be buying something that has literally been pulled from the ocean only hours before; it doesn’t get any better than this, people!

Renowned for their incredible fish and chips, which is best enjoyed at the al fresco eating area out the front, with views over the Broadwater.
