Overview

Solstice Brazil: BaianaSystem

Witness a sonic revolution! BaianaSystem’s electrifying Afro-Brazilian rhythms, the soundtrack to Brazil’s Carnival celebrations, arrive on the Gold Coast for their only Queensland show, marking the Winter Solstice. They will unleash that same explosive energy from the streets of Bahia, Brazil, redefining Brazilian music with a blend of Afro-Brazilian rhythms, electronic beats, and powerful lyrics.

Solstice Brazil is a mid-year PARTY under the crisp winter stars, celebrating Brazilian music and culture. This once-in-a-lifetime collaborative event brings together the global talent of BaianaSystem and the Gold Coast's vibrant Brazilian artistic community, including Comunidade do Samba, Batala Australia with Priscila Rios, Meninas da Lua, DJ Victor Lopes and more.

More than a concert, BaianaSystem performances are a cultural phenomenon, featuring epic visuals and their trademark high-octane mix, championing the sounds of the Black Atlantic. They take on influences old and new between Africa, Brazil, and the Caribbean, from the roots of samba to global bass culture, creating a truly unique and captivating experience.
