Jules Boult is an award-winning singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and international recording artist who has toured the USA and Europe extensively for the past decade. A universally admired blues and roots entertainer - his music remains true to the blues tradition - and his effortless demeanor, humor and performance style has been closely linked with that of the genre’s legendary predecessors. A mash up of Monk and Longhair, South African jazz and Māori folk or a WC Handy and Dr. Dre medley, Jules Boult has a unique understanding of the American songbook and sees the links between genres that most people ignore. He understands the cross fertilisation between jazz, blues, gospel, country and pop – and uses it to create. Jules is a musical explorer...Returning from his recent USA and European tours - join Jules for his first Broadbeach show since 2014, along with his legendary saxophonist Andrew Houston - on a musical adventure as we travel, explore and enjoy sounds from New Orleans to the Mississippi delta and beyond.
