Join in to celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year on Saturday 1 February in Chinatown, Southport! 2025 is the Year of the Snake, representing wisdom and transformation. Festivities will be kicking off on Saturday 1 February at 3pm on Davenport and Young Streets where you can enjoy colourful entertainment including: Lion and dragon dancers Market stalls Kids’ activities (including lotus origami making, woodblock painting and Chinese calligraphy) An interactive wishing tree Fan and umbrella dancing Fireworks finale at 7.30pm!
