MIAMI MARKETTA

Offering a smattering of street food in an open-air setting tingling with toe-tapping live bands, bohemian fashion stalls, a dedicated dessert hall and cocktails galore – Miami Marketta is a local crowd pleaser serving it up for all tastes and ages.

TALLEBUDGERA DOG BEACH

If you’re lucky enough to own a four-legged friend, or just like to pat other people’s pets (we can relate), head to the dog-friendly Tallebudgera Beach where pooches can stretch their legs off the leash while you have a dip, chat to like-minded locals over coffee, or just try to keep up with your best mate.

CURRUMBIN ALLEY

Perfect waves, ice cream trucks, stretches of white sand… this protected piece of beach is a regular hangout for ocean-loving locals. Get involved in a learn-to-surf school; or visit at dusk and watch the surfers and SUPers catch the last wave of the day against the silhouette of the skyline in the distance.

BURLEIGH SOCIAL

Located in the back streets of Burleigh, this cute neighbourhood café is the epitome of casual coastal, combining Insta-worthy breakies with a pet-friendly mantra and relaxed ‘drop in’ attitude that sees everyone from cyclists to entrepreneurs and mums with bubs groups converge for their daily caffeine fix.

A LOCAL SPORTING GAME

Whether you’re right into your sport or just want to get amongst the feel-good vibes that a live game can bring, head to Metricon Stadium and watch the mighty Suns in action, or deck yourself out in yellow and blue and cheer on the Titans from their home base at CBus.

GROUP TAI CHI – JUSTIN’S PARK

Say ‘ommm’ with new or old friends at a free group community tai chi class in the park at Burleigh Heads – breathe in the fresh ocean air and learn the art of ‘letting it go’.

KURRAWA SURF CLUB

Recently renovated, the Kurrawa Surf Club is a treasured community hangout where locals come to meet to grab a bite from the bistro, sink a few cold ones, watch a game on the big screen and get in amongst the surf club action – all while soaking up those epic seaside views.

BURLEIGH HILL

Considered one of the best views in town with dreamlike vistas stretching over Burleigh Beach, up to Surfers and beyond, Burleigh Hill is an all-round crowd-pleaser where locals converge for a picnic, barbie, or good ol’ catch up in spectacular surroundings.

DUST TEMPLE

Art, music, slam poetry, and more – this industrial warehouse turned gallery space and café is an artistic mecca where local creatives come together to get inspired over live acoustic tunes and a strong cuppa.

PALM BEACH FARMER’S MARKETS

Bask in the sunshine, listen to live music, chow down a handmade breakie and sip a chai latte, all while perusing 80 or so market stalls, offering up locally grown, organic produce and artisanal wares.
