SkyPoint Climb
Conquer Australia’s highest external building climb, the Skypoint Climb atop of the Q1 building in Surfers Paradise. We’re known as the theme park capital of Australia for a reason and you need to visit the theme parks at least ONCE in your life. The DC Rivals Hypercoaster at Movie World is one for our serious thrill seekers. Speed along the 1.4km track and experience one of the world’s first non-inverted loops.
Whale Watching
Our seaside city is one of the best places in Australia to see Humpback whales on their annual migration - an estimated 40,000 swim past our shores each year! The good news is, that unlike many other locations - you don't need to spend hours on a boat to see them. A short 20 minute trip out to sea, and you're right there on the Humpback Highway with a VIP view of these graceful mammals swimming, blowing and breaching.There are so many of them during whale season (July - October) that whale watching tours have a 100% whale guarantee.
Longest, Fastest Zipline In Australia
Fly across stunning rainforest on Australia’s largest zipline, the Canyon Flyer, at Treetop Challenge on Tamborine Mountain. While you’re there, challenge yourself at Australia's largest adult adventure park, Treetop Challenge which has 8 high ropes courses and over 140 elements to tackle. High levels of fun for everyone!
Float in Tallebudgera Creek
This is less of a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience and more of a ‘must-do’ when visiting the Gold Coast. This stunning iconic swimming spot on the south side of Burleigh Headland is famous for its calm, sparkling waters, fringed by pandanus palms and the wilderness of Burleigh Heads National Park.
