Hélène's burnout leads her back to rural France. There, she reconnects with Christophe, her high school crush, now representing a life she once left behind
Raised in a modest family in the Vosges, Hélène left her hometown years ago to build a life in Paris. Now in her forties, a sudden burnout forces her to step away from the capital and return to the region of her childhood, between Nancy and Épinal. Back home, she moves in with her family, finds a stable job, and gradually rediscovers a slower, more grounded way of life. One evening, in the parking lot of a chain restaurant, she unexpectedly runs into a familiar face: Christophe Marchal, the charismatic hockey star from her high school days once a distant crush she never imagined reconnecting with. As they grow closer, their relationship brings together two very different Frances, two worlds that have drifted apart. In each other’s arms, they dare to dream of love again. But can this fragile idyll this island of happiness truly survive the realities that shaped them both?
