From luxury hotels to seaside caravan parks, the Gold Coast has a wide variety of beachfront accommodation, which means you can completely immerse yourself in our coastal lifestyle. Stunning sunrises, waterfront dining, beach walks, salty swims and sea breezes become part of your daily routine. And a surf check is as simple as looking out the window. We’ve scoured the coast to create a list of some special properties that boast absolute beachfront location, with nothing between you, the glorious golden beaches and the big blue.
Sand To Sea
Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort takes pride of place in Main Beach with direct beach access to the pristine and patrolled stretch of sand. Stay in deluxe rooms, suites and villas that are just steps from the Pacific Ocean, with incredible view of the sea, the lush tropical gardens or the expansive pool. Three lagoons form a sparkling centrepiece in the resort grounds where you can lounge poolside or enjoy a tipple from the swim up bar.
The luxury hotel is directly opposite Marina Mirage where you’ll find a tempting array of fine dining restaurants, and it’s just a short stroll to the popular dining precinct in Tedder Ave, Main Beach. Onsite, the Pearls Bar has views across the tropical gardens to the ocean and is the perfect place to sip sunset cocktails or enjoy a decadent high tea. You can enjoy a slow start and breakfast at Terraces Restaurant (buffet or a la carte) and for lunch and dinner, tuck into the famous seafood buffet where you can feast on oysters, bugs, prawns and more. A divine seaside stay in relaxed luxury.
Pretty As the Pacific
Gold Coast’s newest luxury hotel, The Langham, Gold Coast is set on a stunning beachfront location perfectly placed between Surfers Paradise and Broadbeach. The ‘pretty as a picture’ hotel oozes sophisticated charm and is ideally located to capture the ocean breezes and dreamy coastal views. As the first hotel development with direct beach access to be built on the Gold Coast in 30 years, you can bet this lavish accom takes full advantage of its seaside spot.
Choose from a variety of supremely appointed rooms and suites, many boasting views and balconies (and bathtubs!) that take in the coastline, horizon and ever-changing ocean. A variety of dining destinations within The Langham make the most of their naturally exquisite setting. Alfresco cocktail bar, Coral Moon, is a few floors up – a refined and relaxed venue for sublime sips and sensational views. Visit on full moon for a spectacular view of it rising out of the ocean. The hotel’s main restaurant, Akoya, serves breakfast through to dinner and offers a fresh (and generous) seafood buffet with the aquamarine waters of the Pacific as the backdrop. Casual café and beloved breakfast spot, 26 & Sunny is situated on an open-air terrace a stone’s throw from the sand – enjoy a refreshing dip as an appetiser. And what better way to spend an afternoon sipping drinks from the swim-up pool bar, lounging on the sun drenched deck and gazing out at the Pacific Ocean. Yes please!
Palm Springs by the Sea
Tessa’s on the Beach is a boutique hotel that exudes the Southern Gold Coast’s enviable style. Inspired by mid-century Palm Springs architecture, the hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned to suit the coastal surrounds. Situated on Bilinga Beach, the retro inspired property has a modern Australian edge with striped beach chairs, cane furniture, timber interiors, landscaped cactus gardens and a white picket fence that leads onto the sand. Bilinga is known for being one of the quieter Gold Coast beaches and it’s a tranquil stretch to walk, swim, surf and relax. There are paddleboards for hire at Tessa’s too.
With 15 well-appointed luxe rooms and apartments dressed in a tropical theme, this southern spot is the perfect place to catch the ocean breezes, swinging palm trees, the many moods of the ocean and sounds of the sea.
Seaside Camping
The Ocean Beach Tourist Park is literally opposite the ocean as the name suggests - a holiday park nestled in the natural bushland surrounds with the coastal cliffs as the backdrop. There’s an array of beachside villas, caravan and camping options, all located within a small private parcel of land, that is absolute beachfront at Miami. Villas can sleep from 2-10 people and have stunning views across the ocean.
One of the most picturesque beachside promenades on the Gold Coast is directly accessible right out front. Take a bike for a cruise north, or climb the rainbow steps up to Mich Schamburg Park for panoramic views and access North Burleigh Beach. Cafés, bars, restaurants and retail are all close by at Nobby Beach.
Creekside Stays
Tallebudgera Creek Tourist Park is situated further south on banks of the pristine TaTallebudgera Creek AU0097422 where a calm and protected estuary feeds into the ocean. Choose from beachside cabins, caravan sites or creek side camping spots on some of the Gold Coast’s most sought-after real estate.
Shady spots along the creek are a favourite for families with little ones, and it’s ideal for water sports of all kinds. A short five minute walk along the creek will find you at the surf beach south of the break wall, or cross the bridge to access beautiful coastal walks and views through Burleigh Heads National Park. If your hair is stiff with salt and your bedsheets are scattered with sand, then you know you're living your best beachside holiday life.
Classic Coastal Vibes
With absolute beach frontage in Tugun, San Simeon Beachfront Apartments boast private balconies that take in the sweeping views across the ocean. The self-contained apartments offer all the mod cons with access to a rooftop hot tub and undercover parking. It’s just a short stroll to the eclectic Tugun Village with an array of boutique shops, cafes and bars to choose from. Back at your coastal accommodation, splash around in the spacious swimming pool, sauna and spa with direct ocean views, have a hit of tennis and or head to the beach from some salt water therapy. San Simeon captures the glory days of the Southern Gold Coast.
