Miami State High School is a proud independent public-school rich in tradition and defined by our strong values and culture.
Established in 1963, our prosperous school sits in a great location behind Nobby Headland, just a minute's walk from the surf. Miami State High School would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of this land, the Kombumerri Saltwater People and the land on which we meet.
We have more than 1,600 students enrolled across year levels 7 to 12, with more than 200 staff.

About Us
Our school’s philosophy is to provide each and every student with a personal learning journey through secondary school and one that best positions every student for a learning pathway beyond school.

At Miami State High School, students can commence their journey in either Middle or Senior School and select subject pathways aligned to their future aspirations.
