Our vision is to enable every student to develop the character, skills, courage and desire to effect change for the good; to grow leaders with a global vision, who take Christ into their everyday life; and to change the world, one student at a time.

We seek excellence in all we do, and annually achieve outstanding results in academics, creative arts and sports. As well as being amongst the region’s top five schools in terms of test-scores, more than half of our student body is engaged in learning a musical instrument, we have thirty different orchestras, bands, ensembles, choirs, and theatre groups. We also have the largest dance school on the Gold Coast. Meanwhile, in Sport, we annually produce large numbers of both State and National champions, whilst simultaneously maintaining an expansive ‘sport for all’ program.

However, these achievements do not represent the heart of Emmanuel – that is to be found in our unique Compass Program. This whole-school program has been designed to help all of our students develop both a compassionate understanding of gracious justice, and the ability to act on that understanding. It is grounded in our vision, and in our eight core values (Faith, Wisdom, Hope, Compassion, Self-Control, Courage, Integrity, and Justice) and it is the centre of all we do.

Emmanuel College does not just invest in excellence in academics, the arts and sports, but also, and equally, in providing ‘real-world’ opportunities for engaging in reflective community service – opportunities which we believe will enable our students to learn how to make a real difference to their world.

As a Christian College we ensure:

  • Our teachers are committed Christians from a wide range of churches and denominations.
  • Our students are taught in an environment which emphasises Christian values and prepares them for living with integrity and high standards within all areas of their lives.
  • Throughout their Emmanuel career, each student completes a Christian Education subject, teaching the foundations of the Christian faith.
  • We provide opportunities for Christian service and mission for students who wish to explore their faith on a deeper level.
