Summary

Lady Elliot Island is a coral cay located at the southern tip of Australia's World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef, 80 kilometres north-east of Bundaberg (north of Fraser Island). Situated within a highly protected 'Green Zone', the Island is a sanctuary for over 1,200 species of marine life and is renowned for an abundance of manta rays, turtles, reef sharks, an amazing array of spectacular marine life and an unspoilt coral reef.

Lady Elliot Island is regarded as one of the best snorkelling and diving destinations on the Great Barrier Reef. Enjoy a glass-bottom boat/guided snorkel tour, snorkel safari, snorkel straight off the beach, dive spectacular dive sites, a guided reef walk, witness the magic of bird and turtle nesting and hatching season, or watch migrating humpback whales blow and breach (in season).

The unpretentious 43 room Eco Resort strives to provide guests with a genuine eco-tourism experience. In keeping with the natural, eco-friendly lifestyle there are no telephones, television or radios and all rooms are fan-cooled apart from the 2 bedroom beachfront unit which is air-conditioned.

Lady Elliot Island is only accessible by plane, scenic flights depart daily from Bundaberg, Hervey Bay/Fraser Coast, Brisbane (Redcliffe) and the Gold Coast.
