Summary
The Sanctuary is a five-bedroom holiday house on a quiet canal at Mermaid Waters, on the Gold Coast. The water runs to the edge of the lawn, with a private pontoon below and an infinity-edge pool set above the canal. The house was built by its owners as their own family home and opens to guests for the first time this season.
Accommodation is arranged over two storeys. Five bedrooms sleep ten: a king in the main bedroom, queen beds in three bedrooms and two single beds in the fifth. The main bedroom has a fitted dressing room and an ensuite with twin basins. Four bathrooms serve the house, and there is a separate laundry.
The ground floor runs open plan. A stone island kitchen and butler's pantry face the water, and stacking doors open the living room to a covered alfresco with an outdoor kitchen. A curved bar sits behind its own glass door. Upstairs a second lounge opens to a covered terrace.
Mermaid Beach and the Nobby Beach dining strip are a short drive. Pacific Fair and Broadbeach are close by. Parking is on the driveway.
