Summary
Just south of Surfers Paradise, Broadbeach is a wide stretch of set against an urban backdrop of a city skyline. The wide beach slopes gently up to dunes covered in native vegetation and although it's a busy stretch of sand there's plenty of room to spread out your towel. In the water, there are often rips, channels and troughs so be sure to only swim in patrolled areas in front of Lifeguard Tower 27 and 28.
The beachside parks are alive with activity, from weekend markets and fitness classes to family picnics and morning yoga. There are playgrounds, shady barbecue areas, modern amenities, wheelchair-friendly beach access and a Changing Places facility at Pratten Park. Kurrawa Surf Life Saving Club overlooks the beach, with an open alfresco deck offering dining with ocean views.
Just steps from the sand, you'll find Broadbeach Mall, packed with cafés, alfresco dining, and shopping. Whether you're here for the waves, a morning ride, or an easy afternoon by the sea, Broadbeach brings all the essentials with a vibrant coastal buzz.
