Day 1
Animal Encounters & Play
Expand
9:00AM
Morning
Start your adventure at The Historic Rivermill in Nerang, a charming riverside spot where kids can meet friendly farm animals, feed the ducks, and explore the open grounds. It’s the perfect mix of history, nature, and hands-on fun. Parents can enjoy a coffee from the café while the kids play.

What to bring: A hat, sunscreen and a water bottle — the grounds are best enjoyed outdoors.
12:00AM
Noon
Head into Surfers Paradise for a family-friendly meal at The Yankee’s Restaurant & Bar, where kids eat free.
2:00PM
Afternoon
When the post-lunch wiggles hit, let the kids burn off energy around Surfers Paradise – if it’s a good weather you have the beach in front of you, otherwise there’s always something happening in Surfers Paradise or you can spend the rest of the afternoon at Timezone.
3:00PM
Night
Keep it simple with an early dinner in Broadbeach or Surfers — casual family spots abound. Think pizza, fish and chips, or burgers by the beach. La Playa also offer Kids free meal from 5pm.

Tip: If it’s Sunday, start your day at the HOTA Markets for local bites, live music, and a kids’ corner.

Day 2
Wild Friends & Water Worlds
Expand
9:00AM
Morning
Meet Australia’s most iconic animals at Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, or explore the quieter David Fleay Wildlife Park. Expect kangaroo feeding, koala cuddles, platypus spotting, and crocodiles basking in the sun — with ranger talks to bring it all to life.

What to bring: Hats, comfy shoes, sunscreen, and snacks.

12:00AM
Lunch
Have lunch at the Homestead Café inside Currumbin or at one of the park cafés. If you’ve had your fill of furry friends, pack a picnic and head to Tallebudgera Creek or Currumbin Creek. Calm waters mean paddling, sandcastle-building, and maybe even a sneaky nap — every parent’s dream!
2:00PM
Afternoon
Kids’ energy is endless — we get that. Here are some play stops guaranteed to keep them busy:

• Indoor:
o Arena 51 – A futuristic indoor adventure park with trampolines, climbing walls, ninja courses, and VR games. Best for ages 5+.
o Bella’s Wonderland – A dreamy pastel playland with ball pits, themed play zones, and role-play areas. Perfect for toddlers through to primary school age.

• Outdoor (free):
o Greenhearts, Robina – A nature-inspired playground with climbing structures, water play, and shady picnic spots.
6:00PM
Dinner
After such a big day, keep dinner low-key at a local café or takeaway near your accommodation. Easy pasta, pizza, noodles, or wraps will keep everyone happy.
Day 3
Thrills & Spills by the Sea
Expand
9:00AM
Morning
Start the day at Sea World, where marine life meets family fun. Watch the famous dolphin presentations, see polar bears play, and wander through the Penguin Encounter. Kids will love the interactive touch pools and the Seal Guardians show, while thrill-seekers can jump on rides like Jet Rescue or Vortex. For little ones, Nickelodeon Land has pint-sized rides and character meet-and-greets.
2:00PM
Afternoon
After a big morning, let the kids run free at the Peninsula Playground in Southport, famous for its giant slides, towers, and flying fox. Or stay within Broadwater Parklands, where multiple play areas, splash zones, and bike paths make it easy to spend a few carefree hours.
6:00PM
Evening
Keep it relaxed with an easy dinner nearby — Charlie de Cod is always a winner for fresh fish & chips with ocean views. It’s the perfect way to recharge and get the kids ready for another big day of adventures tomorrow.
Day 4
Superheroes & Splash Zones
Expand
9:00AM
Morning
Got little adrenaline seekers? Skip the playground today and head straight to Warner Bros. Movie World. Superheroes roam the streets, colourful parades light up the day, and junior coasters bring just the right amount of thrill. Meet Batman, Bugs Bunny, or Scooby-Doo, and don’t miss the live stunt shows that wow both kids and parents alike.
If the weather’s hot, trade capes for swimsuits and spend the morning at Wet’n’Wild, just next door. With splash pads, wave pools, and slides for every age group, it’s the ultimate cool-down adventure.

What to bring: Swimwear, towels, hats, and sunscreen.
2:00PM
Afternoon
After a big morning of action, slow things down with a shopping stop.
Westfield Coomera – just 15 minutes from Movie World/Wet’n’Wild. Great for kids’ play zones, easy dining, and a relaxed vibe.
Pacific Fair Shopping Centre – around 25 minutes south. With its open-air design, resort-style feel, and a huge choice of family-friendly restaurants, it’s perfect for a gentle wind-down.
6:00PM
Evening
After four days of adventures, the kids will likely be ready to crash. Enjoy an early family dinner at the centre of your choice, finish with a sweet ice cream, and then head back to your accommodation to pack. The Gold Coast has so much more to offer families — feel free to browse our guide for more inspiration on places to explore with your crew.

Why it works: This itinerary balances creativity, wildlife, thrills, and downtime — all paired with kid-friendly dining and plenty of free play. Parents get a mix of relaxed moments and wow-factor experiences, while kids get to rule the holiday.
