Gold Coast Mode | Jay's Trip

What an awesome adventure on the Gold Coast. Things get interesting pretty quick when you're not staring at a screen deciding where to go next. You notice more. You try things. You follow some random tip from a local, and it turns into the best part of the day.

PHONES OFF. ADVENTURE ON.

A treetop zipline, a floating bathhouse, a fancy tent in the rainforest – and that’s just how it started. What an epic adventure. This wasn't the Gold Coast I thought I knew. It was better. And all it took was putting the phone down.

THE HINTERLAND

First stop was the mountains, and honestly, that was about as far as the plan went. Fresh air, no signal, and suddenly I'm ziplining through the trees with my heart in my mouth. Swimming under waterfalls. Sleeping under the stars. Taking advice from locals and ending up at a floating bathhouse… didn’t even know those were a thing.

THE COAST

It wasn’t your usual trip back to the coast. A helicopter ride over the shoreline. Vintage cars. A long lunch with locals that somehow turned into a few beers and even better stories. A rollercoaster or two for good measure. Next morning, an early surf, then a relaxing round of golf to end the adventure in style. Gold Coast, I’ll be back.
