Day 1
Morning: Kick start your trip with a Gold Coast Girls Weekend rite of passage; beachside brunch at Hyde Paradiso. Found in the heart of Surfers Paradise overlooking the ocean, Hyde Paradiso is much-loved for their mouthwatering Mediterranean menu, stunning cocktails and of course Beachside Brunch. Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12pm to 2pm you can sip on Chandon Sparkling and bottomless Spritz’ while sampling share-style dishes and soaking up the stunning view. It’s the perfect way to kick start your trip and put you in the mood for your next activity.
Noon: It’s time to shop up a storm at Pacific Fair. Which is always a good time after a few Limoncello Spritzers. Pac Fair as it’s affectionately known, is the Gold Coast’s premier shopping precinct absolutely packed with all the brands you know and love. Fashion options range from high end to streetwear and of course, there’s homewares, makeup and skincare and even a beautiful, sunlit outdoor area where you can kick up your feet on a sun lounge should you need a breather. Absolutely anything you could possibly be looking for can be found at Pacific Fair. Don’t miss it.
Night: No doubt after all that shopping, you’ll have worked up an appetite and there’s nowhere better to satiate it than Broadbeachs’ Social Eating House + Bar. Found within the Oracle buildings close to Kurrawa Beach, the modern Australian venue offers a sophisticated take on casual fine dining. The share-style menu boasts dishes like BBQ S.A Octopus with txistorra sausage, olive oil, potato puree and chimichurri and Chargrilled Moreton Bay bugs with brown butter, warrigal greens, black garlic and fennel. The bar is stacked with incredible cocktails and an unrivaled wine list so a night at Social Eating House + Bar is one you won’t forget.
Day 2
Morning: A relaxing start to day two is in order so it’s a beach walk to an oceanside cafe for breakfast - one of the Gold Coast’s favourite activities. There’s a few to choose from of course; Rafiki by the Sea, underneath the Mermaid Beach Surf Lifesaving Club is the home of healthy bowls, smoothies and toasties (and excellent coffee of course) and BSKT in Nobby Beach is also right next door to the surf club and serving up some of the tastiest brunch treats you can imagine. Faves like Smashed Avo, Breakfast Burritos and Raspberry and Rhubarb Waffles grace the menu and you might like to try them all. Of course, an iced latte here is a must and you’re ready to go for the day.
Noon: A Gold Coast food tour is not-to-be-missed on your girls weekend and Kiff & Culture have curated exactly the one you need to experience. They’ll pick you up from your accommodation and then your first stop is Burleigh Heads’ famous Rick Shores, on the sand and serving up a five-course Asian-Australian seafood banquet lunch. Their Moreton Bay Bug Rolls are legendary on the Coast. After that life-changing experience you’ll be whisked off to local favourite Granddad Jack’s Distillery to sip some of the best local liquor there is, then it’s around the corner to Precinct Brewing Co for some tasty brews and back to your accommodation in the afternoon.
Night: Miami Marketta is your day two, nighttime stop. It’s a vibey little music and arts precinct complete with its own gin bar and a selection of street food trucks for dinner. The beloved little alleyway-style precinct is always a good time but particularly on weekends when you can either sit back and soak up the atmosphere or join in on the dancefloor and show the locals what you’re made of. On a Gold Coast Girls Weekend, the latter is highly recommended.
Day 3
Morning: After an action-packed couple of days, enjoy a leisurely morning in beautiful Burleigh Heads. Indulge in a delicious breakfast at Tarte Bakery or one of the numerous local cafes. Grab a takeaway juice or coffee and browse the boutiques along James St. If you happen to be visiting on the last Sunday of the month, check out at Burleigh Head Art & Craft Markets along the beachfront at Justins Park.
Noon: It’s pamper time in one of the most stunningly, serene spots on the Gold Coast; Greenhouse the Bathhouse. Found behind Burleigh Heads, it’s a boutique bathhouse and rejuvenation space with spas, a steam room and a (very) cold and delightful plunge pool, all designed to ignite your senses and have you feeling like a new person afterwards. Which you absolutely will. You can choose to add on a lunch package and a massage to your soak session and why not treat yourself? You deserve it!
Night: Your last night with the girls on the Gold Coast is a time for celebration and Pink Flamingo is the place. The stage show is a sexy and sophisticated blend of circus, cabaret and burlesque set in an intoxicating 1920s-style space and you can expect mesmerizing aerial angels, world-class dance and vocals and a few daring stunts to top it all off. There’s a bar of course and combined with a show you won’t experience anywhere else, Pink Flamingo is the perfect place to close out your ultimate Gold Coast girls weekend. Once the show is over, the stage transforms into a dance floor, which is where you want to be on a weekend away with your girl gang.
There you have it, the best of the best so you and your best girls get to experience the Gold Coast in all its golden glory.
