First Nations Astronomy Walks
Join us for an enchanting First Nations Astronomy Walk, an hour-long journey exploring the celestial wonders as seen through the eyes of the Indigenous peoples of Australia.
Led by Lann Levinge, a knowledgeable guide with a deep heritage as a direct descendant of the Kombumerri, Nughi, and Quandamooka peoples, this experience will immerse you in the rich tapestry of Indigenous astronomy. Discover how the stars guided ancient navigation, shaped spiritual beliefs, and connected the people to their land.
As you wander under the night sky, you'll hear captivating stories and gain insights into the profound relationship between the cosmos and the Indigenous cultures of the Gold Coast. This walk promises to be a unique blend of history, culture, and natural beauty, offering a deep connection to the land and its starry heritage.
